This weekend Megan and I went to Detroit for our anniversary. We stayed at a 4-star hotel, went to the zoo and for sushi, stopped at a few arcades, and had a really great time. And then afterwards, we swung by Milwaukee and picked up a toy that I had won on eBay on Sunday... To be more specific, a 750 pound toy that barely fit on the Grand Caravan with all the seats taken out.

I now own a Beatmania Complete Mix 2 arcade machine. The thing is massive. 43" x 40" x 78" doesn't sound that big when you're thinking about it, but when you're trying to fit in in the van it's pretty daunting. We ended up having to remove the control panel (which probably weighs 100 pounds by itself, and is 43" x 18" x 18") to fit it in, and even after that we had to bungee cord and tie the back hatch down. Needless to say, we got it home, and I began the process of restoring it, as it wasn't quite in the 8.5/10 condition that the seller advertised. But that's a story for another day.
I've put together a Day 0 Gallery with pics of the machine coming home, with a few pics of my new purchase below.
